I want to find some effects that don't disturb the order of the deck... Mike close has some good stuff in his workers five.

I've got the deck done. I finsished worker's five cover to cover. The effect I was hoping was in there, wasn't. It's one of those man he performed this great effect and the only reason I know how he did it is because I have extra knowlege of the field. I'm talking about Mr. Close. I won't even describe the effect because he hasn't published it. He's a friend of a friend in more than one avenue so I would never dream of stealing from him. I might if I run into him ask him if it's in print.
I'm also trying to add to my packet tricks. I never thought I would say that. Fact is I carry this big ass wallet everywhere. It's not big enough for a deck. (I do have a camera bag which is essentially a purse that I have a deck in, in order i might add) I'm wanting Dave Solomon's technicolor Oil and Water which uses backs and fronts. I like the idea of the backs being weird because it gives me a nice excuse for using a packet in the first place.

So i'm working on reciting the deck and I'm using the same technique we use for Max's spelling tests. We write the object in which we're trying to memorize.
So when "One Week" comes on by the bare naked ladies (I do like saying that). I go to the white board and try and write them all. I'm like coming up six short because I get confused in the 40's... I guess that's normal to get confused in your 40s?

I have them all now. I didn't realize how easy this would be. I need to begin chaining them now in chunks of say 10 so I can easily rattle off the deck...

I've got the whole deck now. I had the kids quiz me on the way home from thier dance class. I need some speed and confidence.
Jon is going to come over at some point this weekend and we'll drill on it.

My PTA sentence is almost up. I'm memorizing the Aronson stack now. I've got like 36 cards down almost cold. Jon is going to come over at some point this weekend and we'll finish the stack.
I have no long term magic goals other than to have a close up routine for each of my governing values. This a bit difficult...
