It doesn't really hurt as bad as it should
Last night's Aikido class was long. It wasn't any longer if you were a circle with one little hand and one big hand going round and round at a constant rate. It was if you were a beginnger on the mat going round and round in a sporatic fall to the matt sort of rate.
Our guest instructor was really great. She is the world champion tree climber. They have a word for that sport, but it escapes me. She likes to get you up on the mat instead. So we spent a huge amount of time working on stuff. I'm rolling better, but I ran out of roll after a while and started clunking. Clunking hurts.
At some point during technique I was working with a large german man and my left shoulder started to really hurt. I almost had to stop, but I was too stupid.
When we got home I was really hurting and I think we turned in just before 10:00 pm. This morning I just feared moving. In reality I'm not that bad off. No advil. A lot of dihydrogen monoxide has set me right. I'm not in a pain free place, but the pain itself isn't bad enough to even slow me down.
Someone once told me that if you want to change your whole life just change one thing. It might be true.
