pod castin'

OK so I'm always a day or so late. I just found what pod casting is. I love it. duh right?

Yes ok I know you all have your favorite shows that you listen to regularly and you have also the time and obviously the inclination (although it is a mystery) to come here and read this dribble. That makes you a member of a dribble reading set.

With that in mind you have something in common with all the other dribble readers (maybe it's simply that you like to mock me. Maybe you have a whole email list of comments on this blog that you keep me off of because they are all very mocking. That's an interesting mix of egotistical paranoia huh?)

I only have 2 podcasts so far. I don't have much of a sample set. I don't have a favorite yet. I have science friday from NPR and living on Earth also on NPR.

I need more.

So the short of it is: Please comment on this post with your vary favorite podcast. The one you really love. Just one. OK two. come on.

I really like This Week in Science (twis.org) which is a weekly science show from UC Davis.

Another that I am fond of is The Evil Genius Chronicles. It seems kind of uneven but I agree with a lot of the commentary on podcasting.

In all I am subscribed to about 20 casts. I don't have a lot of favorites and am still trying to weed out the weak stuff. I can send you a complete list if you care.

This week in Tech is one of my faves.
if you ever watched techTV with the original screen savers crew.. they've all re-joined to make this weekly podcast.
I think you've mentioned that you have a real mp3 player so i'm going to assume that you're using the itunes podcasting subscription feature, and point out that you may recieve the TWiT cast through them.

if i had to give another, i'd have to be honest and say that its the video form of diggnation, but i do also grab the audio ver. for some reason. it really wouldn't be a relevant podcast for you if you're not a www.digg.com user/fan. but, again kevin rose and adam... i forget his name... do a top digg stories recap. i think the best thing about the show is the tangents they go off on. the video version is the way to go, and is able to be had , yet again *drumroll*... through itunes. let me know what you think of either of these if you decide to try them out.
